We, LOGISTEED, Ltd. (Representative Director, President and COO: Hiroaki Takagi) and UTOC CORPORATION (Representative Director and President: Akihiko Ono) are pleased to announce that we have concluded a business partnership agreement for improving operational efficiency through joint management in transportation business using self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT).
In the midst of environmental changes towards the realization of a global decarbonized society, social needs such as next-generation energy or infrastructure development in the fields of decarbonization are increasing. Based on this, plans for large-scale equipment transportation related to wind power generation, as well as plans for bridge transportation associated with bridge replacement work are increasing in Japan. It is a trend of increasing demand for large-scale projects that cannot be handled by transportation companies alone.
UTOC CORPORATION (UTOC) has been providing transportation service for a long time with special equipment for transporting heavy objects using their SPMT, Super Carrier to transport plant equipment for power plants or for the installation and removal of bridges. While LOGISTEED (LD) operates heavy material transportation business nationwide using SPMT, Multi Carriers. The two companies have previously cooperated through mutual outsourcing of operations in the transportation business using SPMT. The purpose of the business partnership agreement at this time is to further strengthen the business relationship and work together to contribute to solving issues related to decarbonization, social infrastructure, and new energy.
Joint operation through preferential mutual accommodation of SPMT (including operators) owned by both companies.
(1) Interoperability of SPMT in large-scale construction projects such as bridge replacement work or installation work for power plants and substations.
(2) Efficiency operations including maintenance of SPMT, procurement and management of maintenance parts, mutual use of the Depot, transferring, and operators training.
(3) Joint operation and orders in transportation using SPMT.
