LOGISTEED, Ltd. is pleased to announce that we received the "Logistics Structural Reform Award" in the Excellent Logistics Partnership Commendation Program 2024, organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Japan Logistics System Association, and the Japan Federation of Logistics Organizations. This award was given for the initiative "Realization of Supply Chain Efficiency and Environmental Load Reduction with the Establishment of the New Kansai Logistics Center," undertaken in collaboration with SEIJO ISHII CO., LTD., TOKYO EUROPE TRADING CO., LTD., nakato Co., Ltd., and LOGISTEED West Japan, Ltd.
This award recognizes businesses that have made significant contributions to the promotion of sustainable logistics through initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce environmental impact. The initiative was highly evaluated for achieving efficiency and environmental load reduction by reviewing the entire supply chain, and the five companies jointly received the award.
Overview of the Initiative
Previously, the Former Kansai Logistics Center of SEIJO ISHII did not have DC functions, and some products needed to be transported from the Kanto Logistics Center, which has dry DC and chilled DC functions. Chilled fresh produce was also stored in a separate logistics center and delivered to stores in the Kansai area from there. This initiative reviewed these supply chains and established the "New Kansai Logistics Center," which functions as a DC and a consolidated center for three temperature zones (ambient, refrigerated, and frozen), reducing transportation between logistics centers. Additionally, by relaxing the delivery requirements for fresh produce and chilled items and jointly delivering dry and chilled items, the number of trucks was reduced. The "New Kansai Logistics Center" has strengthened and improved the logistics infrastructure in the western Japan area, achieving supply chain efficiency and environmental load reduction.Overview Diagram
