HTS Receives an A-(A minus) Rating for Three Consecutive Years
in the CDP Climate Change Report

Hitachi Transport System, Ltd.(HTS) is pleased to announce that the company was received the leadership level of A-(A minus) three consecutive years in the Climate Change Report 2022 by CDP an international environmental non-profit organization, for its outstanding efforts and information disclosure.

Toward the realization of a sustainable society, the HTS Group has formulated medium-to-long term environmental targets to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by FY2030 (compared to FY2013) and achieve net zero carbon by FY2050. We are promoting efforts to reduce CO2 emissions through five methods: energy conservation, electrification, renewable energy procurement, energy creation and emissions trading. Also, we announced our endorsement of the TCFD recommendations in 2021 and are now promoting climate change initiatives and information disclosure.

In this evaluation, we believe that it was evaluated in terms of strengthening the management system for climate-related issues with the level of the board of directors, identifying climate-related risks and opportunities from a short, medium and long-term perspective and calculating its financial impact, considering and implementing countermeasures according to the degree of importance. And also, identifying "contribution to a decarbonized society" as one of the materiality and making it an important matter in business strategy. We think that these points have led to the evaluation.
