LOGISTEED, Ltd. is pleased to announce that "Upper Arm-Type Demo Set Reusable Packaging Box" won the "Logistics Award" in The Japan Packaging Contest 2025, hosted by the Japan Packaging Institute.
This annual contest recognizes the most outstanding packaging and technologies of the year, aiming to promote the development and dissemination of superior packaging solutions.
The awarded packaging box was developed for shipping demo devices used for operation management solution, SSCV®-Safety. The demo set consists of five items: an upper arm-type blood pressure monitor, an oxygen saturation meter, an autonomic nervous system monitor, a thermometer, and a smartphone.
Previously, these items were shipped in two separate cardboard boxes. The newly developed packaging box is designed to store and ship the entire demo set in a single unit. It consists of an outer box and a top pad made of plastic corrugated board, along with a two-piece bottom pad made of expanded polyethylene foam*. A notch has been added to part of the top pad to accommodate the protruding section of accessory (1) of the upper arm-type blood pressure monitor. This enables it to be fit into the remaining space, even if it protrudes slightly. Accessory (2) is clamped between the bottom pads, which serve as cushioning material. The internal structure is optimized to minimize unused space within the box.
By consolidating the shipment from two cardboard boxes into one reusable packaging box, transportation costs were reduced by 40%, and the time required for unpacking and repacking was reduced by 60% due to simplified packaging. The outer box also features hand holes, contributing to improved handling quality.
LOGISTEED aims to become the most preferred global supply chain solutions provider, and we strive to achieve new innovations by enhancing the core domain and expanding collaborative area across businesses and industries.
