Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. (HTS) is pleased to announce that the Company expressed to endorse GX League Basic Concept (GX: Green Transformation) which was announced by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The GX League is going to be established in anticipation of the realization of carbon neutrality 2050 and its social changes. GX League will be a place for the companies that actively engage in GX to work together with governments, universities, financial institutions, etc. to discuss the transformation of the entire economic and social system, and practice to create new markets. In the GX League Basic Concept, it indicates what efforts shall be made to achieve corporate growth, consumer happiness, and contribution to the global environment at the same time through the transformation that the GX League is aimed for.

In order to realize a sustainable society, the HTS Group has established medium-to-long term environmental targets to reduce 50% CO₂emissions by 2030 (compared to the FY2013), and to achieve net zero carbon by 2050. We are promoting efforts to reduce CO₂emissions through five methods: energy saving, electrification, renewable energy procurement, energy creation and emissions trading. We also aim to achieve carbon neutrality together with our customers by promoting modal shift and SCDOS (Supply Chain Design & Optimization Services) for CO₂emissions visualization. We have expressed our endorsement for these initiatives because they match the spirit of the GX League Basic Concept.
